What tarp can be used to filter the light and keep cool?
The silver / black tarps are the best when it comes to blocking sunlight. The silver side reflects the sun while the black side does not allow even a small amount of light to pass through. Our white, red, green, yellow, and orange tarps are translucent which allows the natural light to remain while filtering out the UV rays. Mesh tarps, or shade screens, have 70% shade protection, which allows some light through and is breathable to keep cool.
Do you accept purchase orders or orders on Net 30 terms?
Yes, we do! For more information, please email customerservice@abadak.com.
Can the tarp I purchased be returned?
Any new/unopened product may be returned within 30 days from the order date.
Can I cancel my order?
An order that has not been shipped can be cancelled at no additional charge. Once an order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled and must be processed as a return.
Do you sell your tarps to the government?
Yes. We are a leading tarps supplier and specialize in government orders, agencies for natural disasters and most urgent matters pertaining to tarps.
Are tarps good for windy conditions? How should I secure my tarps?
Yes but we cannot guarantee that they will withstand high winds. If you want to use your tarp in a moderately windy area, we recommend using bungee cords with hooks or ball bungees to allow the tarp to flex with the wind. This can reduce the stress on the material. These products are available on our accessories page.
What is the width side and the length side of a tarp?
We get this question asked more often than you might think; a standard tarp can be a square or rectangular flat piece of material, so basically the “width side or a length side of a tarp” depends on which way you turn it. There is not a dedicated width or length side.
Can the canvas tarps be used for my canopy?
When exposed to the sun and rain, canvas tarps tend to expand and contract. We advise customers to use polyethylene tarps for the top covers of a canopy.
The tarp I received is a few inches less on each side. What is a "cut size"?
The tarp you received is already in its finished size. The cut size specified on the website is the size of the tarp before the hems and seams are sewn. All of our tarp finished sizes are approximately 6 inches or 3% smaller than the listed size. Custom tarps can be made to your exact size specifications.
Can your tarps be used as a trampoline?
We do not advise using the tarps as a trampoline. This is a specialized material.
What is the meaning of mil thickness?
A mil is the unit length that is equal to 0.001 inch (0.0254 mm). Mil is a unit that is used to measure the tarp thickness. The higher the mils, the thicker and better the tarp will be.
What does "rope reinforcement in the tarp" mean?
There is a rope that is placed inside hems of the tarp. This adds strength to the tarp edge.
What are your tarps used for?
Our tarps are used for thousands of different applications. They are helpful to farmers, schools, roofers, landscapers, and much more.
